RACING GLOSSARY
Backstretch, noun : the straightway on the far side of a racetrack that is usually opposite the finish line.
Paddock, noun : the structure or area where horses are saddled and kept before post time.
Railbird, noun : a racing enthusiast who sits on or near the track rail to watch a race or workout
